Michael GALEA (South-Eastern Metropolitan) (09:43): I am rising today to talk about my wonderful visit with the Casey youth climate action committee last week, who it was wonderful to meet with in a state where we have a passionate and strong Labor government that are leading the way with climate emission reductions and with more than 10 years of a demonstrated difference in the climate space. It was wonderful to catch up with these very bright young people across different age levels in the City of Casey and to hear about their views and their passions on this issue and the environment more broadly. We had some really great conversations about the local environment, about sustainability, about public transport and even about some other topics as well, including ways in which we can better support and prevent youth crime. It was a really terrific evening with them. I would like to thank all of the members of the group who so generously shared their time with me and Dani from my team. We really enjoyed the experience.
