 Michael GALEA (South-Eastern Metropolitan) (12:47): (2598) My question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety. It is on behalf of a number of constituents who have raised issues with me about the condition of various major state roads, and it is why I welcome the significant announcements last week by the Minister for Roads and Road Safety and by the Premier of an additional amount of funding towards major road repairs and maintenance across Victoria, including the South-Eastern Metropolitan Region. Indeed it is also why I welcome the announcement of a number of road projects in the south-east, including upgrades to Hallam Road and Evans Road and the signalisation with lights of Governor and Boundary roads. Minister, on behalf of my constituents, what will this extra funding mean in terms of getting my constituents around more safely and easily with upgraded local roads?
